Temperature and watch performance

Like all precision mechanical instruments, watches can be influenced by environmental conditions, including temperature.

Extreme heat or cold may temporarily affect the viscosity of lubricants, the expansion of metal components, and the overall performance of the movement. As a result, minor variations in accuracy may occasionally occur.

For optimal performance, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to:

• Extreme heat
• Extreme cold
• Rapid temperature changes
• Direct sunlight for extended periods
• Saunas, steam rooms, and similar environments

Sudden temperature changes may also increase the likelihood of temporary condensation forming inside the watch.

Under normal everyday conditions, temperature-related variations are typically minor and do not indicate a defect.
