No. For most mechanical watches equipped with a date function, the date should not be adjusted while the movement is performing its automatic date-change cycle.
As a general precaution, we recommend first moving the hands to approximately 6:00 before adjusting the date. At this position, the date-change mechanism is fully disengaged, helping to avoid unnecessary stress on internal components.
Attempting to adjust the date while the automatic date-change mechanism is engaged may damage the movement and could require servicing.
Once the date has been correctly set, the time can then be adjusted to the desired position.
